Legends of Mount Shasta, California
This discussion is started in response to the assignment in the February 2021 Alien Facts newsletter.
Legends and mysteries of Mount Shasta go back centuries. See this article.
More recently, unusual events near Mount Shasta have attracted more pilgrims and tourists.
Jack Heart posted nine excellent posts about Mount Shasta on this blog.
All nine are well worth a read!
Wondering what lies beneath the surface of the mountain? Controlled Remote Viewing expert Lori Williams viewed Mount Shasta in an experiment on live radio with Connie Willis on May 20, 2017.
Quote: "Target 3 - Mount Shasta
Williams admitted straightaway she was unable to determine this target. Interestingly, she described inclined mountainous terrain, then what was beneath it. "I heard clinking sounds, I was picking up white, shiny, tunneled... and I was getting like a hallway, a big, long, square hallway," she recounted. According to Williams, under the surface of the mountain is a top-secret facility populated with select scientists working on mysterious, perhaps even sinister, research. She described the subject of their experimentation as non-human, helpless, alone, and sad. Williams also indicated some research may have to do with climate, and there are man-made vessels coming and going from the mountain."
Can it be said for certain that really is in fact what lies below the mountain without actually searching the place?
Many believe a city named Telos inhabited by tall people is located below Mount Shasta. See the third item in this listicle originally published on locklip.com and republished on this website. The same listicle was republished on other websites too.
Quote: "THE TELOSIANS
Described as being tall, blonde humanoids, the Telosians are believed by many to be the last survivors of long-lost human civilizations on Earth.
There are those that say they are the survivors of the cataclysms that sunk Atlantis and Lemuria, while another school of thought believes they are much older than that.
Their name derives from the ancient Greek word “telos” meaning “end’ or “purpose.” It seems a fitting name for their largest city of Telos which many believe is located under Mt. Shasta, California.
Through psychotronic technology and highly developed cerebral abilities, their advanced society has been in constant contact with a number of other extraterrestrial civilizations including the Pleiadians and Arcturians.
The first person to describe the Telosians was Admiral Richard Byrd. In his diaries that were published after his death, he tells of a secret North Pole mission to the home of an advanced subterranean race.
Admiral Byrd wrote that this alien species had been living in a few secret underground cities but it was our nuclear bombs that finally drew them out to the surface. Admiral Byrd wrote,
“Our interests rightly begins just after your race exploded the first atomic bomb over Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan. It was at that alarming time we sent our flying machines, the “Flugelrads” to your surface world to investigate what your race had done.“
“You see, we have never interfered before in your race’s wars and barbarity, but now we must, for you have learned to tamper with a certain power that is not for man, namely that of atomic energy.”
“Our emissaries have already delivered messages to the powers of your world, and yet they do not heed. Now you have been chosen to be a witness here that our world does exist. You see, our culture and science is many thousands of years beyond our race. Admiral.”
Thousands of years of scientific advancement have given the Telosians the ability to circumvent disease and aging. The Telosians are widely known for their longevity and could help us with our own. They are also true protectors of the Earth’s environment and keepers of knowledge about our planet’s past."
Atlantis was first mentioned by Plato around 350 B.C. Plato's ancestor Solon received a much more ancient version of the story in Egypt as told by Egyptian Temple Priests, but Plato was the first to call the submerged land Atlantis. Lemuria was not based on legend, but rather scientific guess no longer considered a valid hypothesis adopted by occult practitioners.
Comments
The comment below from one of the above posts is quite intriguing. One wonders if there is any visual images supporting the claim?
"Mount Shasta has also seen other unusual happenings, with a mysterious side hole that appeared over 10 years ago becoming the subject of a documentary. Its sudden emergence connected with local legends about a lost continent of Lemuria supposedly hidden under the mountain."
It seems California is an epicentre of extraterrestrial activity in the USA. One can only wonder the size of any extraterrestrial community that supports such activity!
The movie's Facebook page has some images.
Legends of a lost continent beneath the volcano are contrary to geography and geology. The legends of Lemuria only go as far back as the Nineteenth Century. Simon E. Davies wrote, "Lemuria is the name of a lost land located somewhere in the Indian or Pacific Ocean. The island was not based upon legend but rather scientific guess. Though Lemuria is no longer considered a valid scientific hypothesis, it has been adopted by occult practitioners who believe a mysterious continent once existed in the ancient world that has now sank beneath the ocean as a result of a cataclysmic event."

This article by Zach O'Brien tells the true origins of beliefs in Lemurians under Mount Shasta.
Footnotes 15 and 16 from this account are relevant to this discussion.
Quotes: "Puzzling consistencies between rocks, fossils, and animal species found in South Asia and Eastern Africa led 19th Century paleontologists and geologists to postulate a lost landmass that once connected the two now separated regions. This theory was vigorously supported by E. H. Haeckel (1834-1919), who used it to explain the distribution of Lemur-related species throughout Southern Africa, South and South-East Asia. On this basis, the English Zoologist Phillip L Sclater (1829-1913) named the hypothetical continent Lemuria, or Land of the Lemurs."... "In the late 19th Century Lemuria was eagerly seized upon by occultists, who – like their scientific cousins - wove it into elaborate evolutionary and racial theories./In The Secret Doctrine, a commentary on the Atlantean Book of Dzyan, H.P. Blavatsky describes Lemuria as the third in a succession of lost continents. It is preceded by Polarea and Hyperborea, and followed by Atlantis (which was built from a fragment of Western Lemuria)."...More recently Lemuria has been increasingly merged into Colonel James Churchward’s lost pacific continent of Mu, drifting steadily eastwards until even parts of modern California have been assimilated to it./Although Blavatsky credits Sclater as the source for the name Lemuria, it cannot have been lost upon her, or her fellow occultists, that Lemuria was a name for the land of the dead, or the Western Lands."
See this five part series by Dustin Naef about legends of Mount Shasta.
California is the most populated state in the USA, so it should come as no surprise that California would have the most reports of extraterrestrial activity in the USA. No idea about the size of the total population of any extraterrestrial community that could be operating in California.
It was interesting the read the story of James Brown above, thanks for posting. His mysterious disappearance which has never been solved has the makings of a film script.
Despite the populous status of California you do get a sense that there are some special extraterrestrial links-whether or not that relates to some type of permanent presence by way of a secret base, I could not say.
Mount Shasta is located at the northern edge of California. There are more rumors of allegedly secret bases in the southern part of the state like the Malibu Anomaly.
Interesting Reanemus. Seen the images many times, although no details have come to the surface!
This excellent article contains a chapter about Mount Shasta.
Interesting
The Fog Horn posted this summary of a legend told by Native Americans about how the volcano deities Skell and Llao were said to have fought a battle between Mount Shasta and Mount Mazama.
Over 6,000 years ago, Mount Mazama erupted violently and formed Crater Lake. Crater Lake in Oregon is home to a number of eerie legends and unsolved mysteries too.
Here is another article about Mount Shasta from a new angle.
Here is another blog about the unbelievable mysteries of Mount Shasta.
Jill S. posted this collection of legends behind Mount Shasta.
Rebecca T. wrote this article about everything you need to know about the Mount Shasta mysteries.
As many Native Americans date their lineages to a time when eruptions took place in the Cascade Range, their ancestors probably witnessed when Mount Mazama erupted violently and formed Crater Lake.
You would have thought if reptilians chose Mount Shasta as a base, they would have the ability to control the volcanic activity associated with the are. If not, why would an advanced civilisation choose such a location?
This slightly reminds me of another post I posted on social media at the beginning of this year. (12/01/21). It referred to predictions made by Nostradamus, Baba Vanga and Al Bielek who suggested/inferred that California will be destroyed by an earthquake in 2021. Al Bielik was more precise if I recall, suggesting that such will event occur at the end of November 2021. I sincerely hope that they were all wrong!
The interiors of extinct volcanoes contain cavernous lava tubes that extend across vast distances. The volcanism below such locations could provide geothermal energy that an advanced civilization could utilize. All reptiles need sunlight to survive.
The Cascadia subduction zone and the San Andreas Fault touch at the Mendocino Triple Junction offshore of Mendocino County, California.
This story has certainly affected me somewhat, as I had invested in dollar related stock in my pension, which I have to temporarily liquidated as a result. (just in case)
This subject bears no resemblance to the San Andreas fault line at all. Al Bielek's opinion on this, related to the eastern sea board becoming totally submersed. My research suggests there is a current situation that could fit this story. There is extreme volcanic activity that has persisted for a while on the island of La Palma in the Canaries. If a large landmass were to slip into the Atlantic ocean as a result of this activity it could create a tsunami of biblical proportions that would hit the Eastern seaboard. Again I stress I sincerely hope that my time spent on this research is totally wasted!
Baba Vanga and Nostradamos were not specific on dates, although I read at the start of this year of this year that Al Beilik suggested this event would occur at the end of November !!!!
There has become something of a tradition every New Year's Day of articles about the prophecies of Nostradamus and Baba Vanga being published online. Often, the supposed "prophecies" do not come to pass and are republished again the next year as many forget after a year. In fact, many of the "prophecies" in those articles were not written by Nostradamus or Baba Vanga. Whoever keeps doing this gets away with it, as many Anglophone audiences only rely on translations of the original French and Bulgarian. A cottage industry emerged selling books about prophecies of doom.
The Al Bielek tale provides the specifics of this prophecy rather than Nostradamus and Baba Vanga. Although I sincerely hope that you are proved correct in your assumption. Regardless, the events surrounding the volcanic activity on La Palma are disturbing.
David Icke did lectures, interviews, and public talks at Mount Shasta. David Icke's theory has its origins in Theosophy.
That image is from the TV miniseries V. David Ickes's theories could just as easily be taken from V. Brian Dunning wrote that high definition video killed the theory.
Jason Colavito wrote about how neo-Theosophist Maurice Doreal incorporated the lost civilization hiding out beneath Mount Shasta from Frederick S. Oliver's Dweller on Two Planets into his vision of the cosmos.
Mount Shasta certainly has its mysteries. Is the volcano still active? Is it a tourist hotspot in California?
If a civilisation still exists under cover of the volcano, they must have a self sustaining eco system if there are no reports of strange interactions in the surrounding areas !
No, the volcano is dormant. Yes, it is a tourist hotspot in California.
